Donald Trump calls for 'complete ban' on Muslims entering US
Donald Trump on Monday called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States," an idea swiftly condemned by his rival candidates for president and other Republicans. The proposed ban would apply to immigrants and visitors alike, a sweeping prohibition affecting all adherents of Islam who want to come to the U.S.
Trump's campaign said in a statement such a ban should stand "until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on." It said the proposal comes in response to a level of hatred among "large segments of the Muslim population" toward Americans.
"Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life," Trump said in the statement.
At an evening rally in South Carolina, Trump supporters cheered and shouted in support as he read his statement. Trump warned during his speech that without drastic action, the threat of attacks is "going to get worse and worse."
"As he says, we have to find out who they are and why they are here," Rod Weader, a 68-year-old real estate agent from North Charleston who attended the rally and said he agreed with Trump's plan "150 percent." ''Like he said, they are going to kill us and we've got to stop it."
“We have no idea who is coming into our country, no idea if they like us or hate us,” Trump told supporters in S.C. “I wrote something today that is very salient…and probably not very politically correct. But I don’t care.”
Trump added that his proposal is “common sense” and “we have no choice”. He warned the crowd that “we can be politically correct and stupid but it’s going to get worse and worse.”
The proposed ban would stand "until our country's representatives can figure out what is going on," his campaign said in a statement earlier Monday.
The statement added that Trump's proposal comes in response to the level of hatred among "large segments of the Muslim population" toward Americans.
"Donald Trump is unhinged," Jeb Bush said via Twitter. "His 'policy' proposals are not serious."

People can be so wicked - A 6 years old boy has his genitals and fingers cut off after he disturbed neighbour's sleep
A 6 year old boy's fingers and genitals were cut off by a woman whose sleep was disturbed by the playful child.
The accused woman, Liu Tao, was reportedly sleeping in a room at her cousin's rental home in Shaodong county in central China’s Hunan province when the six-year-old boy living next door and nicknamed Xiaoming went into her room to play.
Disturbed by the child, Liu first took Xiaoming out of the room.
But the boy returned to the room to disturb Liu, who instead of pushing him out again, reacted violently.
She took a kitchen knife and scissors, and stabbed and slashed Xiaoming's fingers, head, face, and genitals, leaving him bleeding on the ground.
Liu then fled the scene but was later captured by authorities in her village home.
According to Xiaoming’s father, Zhou, his son had lost several fingers, and his penis was completely removed.
Zhou said: "Police asked the suspect where she put my son's penis, but she wouldn't say."Zhou said the missing items were eventually found hidden in a vase and sent to the hospital where the boy was being treated.
Xiaoming is currently receiving treatment at Xiangya Hospital in the provincial capital Changsha, where doctors said his injuries are serious.
Doctors warned that they may not be able to reattach his fingers and genitals as they were separated from his body for too long.
Liu faces a prison sentence of more than 10 years for inflicting malicious bodily harm on Xiaoming.
However, she may be shown leniency if a medical report proves that she she's mentally ill

Female Chelsea Doctor, Eva Carneiro leaves after Jose Mourinho critics
Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has decided to leave the club – six weeks after criticism from manager Jose Mourinho |
Carneiro had her role downgraded after Mourinho said his medical staff were “naive” for treating Eden Hazard during the 2-2 draw with Swansea on 8 August.
Chelsea asked Carneiro, 42, to return to work, but she has decided not to and is now considering her legal position.
The Football Association is looking into a complaint that Mourinho used abusive or sexist language towards her.
Chelsea say they do not comment on internal staffing matters.
Heather Rabbatts, chair of the FA’s Inclusion Advisory Board, expressed her “sadness and anger” at the news of Carneiro’s departure
What happened?
Carneiro and head physio Jon Fearn went onto the pitch to treat midfielder Hazard in the closing stages of the draw with Swansea.
It meant the Blues were temporarily reduced to nine men, with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois having been sent off, and Mourinho said the duo had been “impulsive and naive”.
Carneiro lost her place on the bench and was no longer allowed to attend matches or training sessions.
Two days after the incident, she posted a message on Facebook thanking the public for their “overwhelming support”.
Mourinho stood by his decision to remove her from her role, adding he had a “good relationship” with his medical staff.
‘Her departure raises a serious question’
Rabbatts, the FA’s only female board member, has been vocal in her support of Carneiro, whom she said acted “properly”.
“Her departure raises a serious question on how players are safeguarded if their medical support is compromised,” said Rabbatts.
“The footage of the abuse she has endured in silence from the stands during her career is something we should all be ashamed of.
“I hope that Eva’s own situation can be resolved quickly and positively and that she will be able to continue to work in a senior position within the game.”
The Women in Football group said Carneiro was highly respected and it was “bitterly disappointed” about her departure.
“We believe it is appalling that her professionalism and understanding of football were subsequently called into question by manager Jose Mourinho and it threatened to undermine her professional reputation,” said a spokesperson.
“We also believe that Dr Carneiro’s treatment and ultimate departure from Chelsea FC sends out a worrying and alienating message to the already small numbers of female medical staff working in the national game.”
Who is Eva Carneiro?
Carneiro is a 42-year-old sports medicine specialist who was born in Gibraltar
She studied medicine at Nottingham University and completed her MSc in Sport and Exercise at Queen Mary University of London
Carniero previously worked at the British Olympic Medical Institute, with England Women’s Football and UK Athletics, before joining Chelsea in 2009

Nigeria Cup golf tournament tees off
Nigeria Cup golf tournament tees off |
“It is an amateur event among members which has the trophy as the ultimate target for competing golfers. However, we also have a youth day where the young ones will have to take the centre-stage,” the chairman added.
This year’s edition of Nigeria’s premier amateur golf tournament is themed 7 Shades of Green. “The theme is in recognition of Nigeria’s national colours and the fact that the event will last for seven days. Activities mapped out for each of the seven days will reflect Nigeria’s rich heritage and culture,” the chairman said.
He added that this year’s Independence Day Kitty scheduled for Thursday, October 1st, would be an exciting day of golfing for all club members and will celebrate Nigeria’s rich heritage in the Arts. The guests, veterans and sponsors will take their turn on the course on Friday while the final will be on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. The event will climax with a Gala Dinner and prize presentation ceremonies later in the evening.
